The  development in Čestlice offers an ideal place for living and entrepreneurship in the attractive area of the southeast edge of Prague, close to Průhonice and Uhříněves. The project is extraordinary because of its urban design that complements the traditional layout of a Czech village.

The urban concept takes into account the expansion of the existing housing development in "Old Čestlice" to a modern residential complex with family houses, start-up flats and spaces for commercial purposes as well as the building of a new village center, inspired by  a traditional Czech village square with a pond. Indeed a lively square with a commercial zone, restaurants and the supply of services will bring needed comfort to old and new residents of the village, and at the same time this differentiates the given  development from typical suburban satellites.

The ground floor of residential buildings around the square provides facilities for self-employed persons, shop owners and service providers. In the upper floors there are maisonette apartments, which can be used for both residential and business (office) purposes. The majority of the flats are low-length-floor start-up flats, which can be turned into larger flats through flexible building terms.

A new residential area, consisting of semi-detached houses and traditional family houses on lots from 600 to 1000 square meters, connects with the square by a tree-lined alley. Wide streets provide sufficient space for motorists. From the other side calm pathways and trails provide comfort and safety to pedestrians and cyclists.

  • building lots, flats and commercial space in the village with existing background, so differentiated from the typical satellite suburb or town
  • excellent transport accessibility (new motorway exit, 15 minutes to Prague city center) perfectly soundproofed from existing development of the "Old Čestlice"
  • great investment - a prestige address, near Průhonice
  • new developed center with all public facilities corresponds to growing number of population, with the plan to build a new school with a larger capacity, sports field and arboretum
  • business confirmed location - 5 minutes to the shopping center with several supermarkets, restaurants, a sports center and a popular waterpark

The southeast edge of Prague is the most attractive area for living and at the same time a very interesting opportunity for entrepreneurship. Nearby city and intercity infrastructure countryside living and the surrounding area, which is suitable for recreation and relaxation, are the main draw cards of the development in Čestlice. The positive perception of Čestlice as a good address is also supported by its location close to the desired areas of Uhříněves and Průhonice.

The calm environment in the shade of existing housing development is located within easy reach of expressways E55 and E65 and also the D1 motorway via the newly constructed highway interchanges and connection to the Prague Circle. Strategic location close to transportation artery ensures fast connection to the Prague city center and other cities by private and public transportation. Buildings of "old Čestlice" are served as a perfect barrier against noise from the busy highway. Location on the windward side of the city provides higher air quality.

In the village are a primary school, shops and restaurants. In the immediate vicinity to Čestlice is a shopping area with supermarkets, restaurants, a sports center and a popular water park. The nearest health center is located in neighboring Průhonice.

  • 15 minutes to the city center by car
  • reliable connection by suburban public transportation to the Metro station Opatov
  • connection to a network of cycle paths
  • complete public facilities: school is in the village, shops, restaurants, services, local authority
  • 5 minut autem vzdálená komerční zóna s hypermarkety a aquaparkem
  • 5 minutes by car to the neighboring village of Benice, where a sports and leisure center with tennis courts, bowling, golf simulators, swimming pools, saunas and massages is located

Čestlice has a rich history. The village’s name (Šestlice) was recorded for the first time in 1227 as a part of the property of St. George’s Monastery. In the 14th century Čestlice belonged to the Lords of Řičany. In 1380 Čestlice was bought by the citizen, Bartholomew Štuk. In the 15th century, the original courtyard was expanded into a fortress. In 1427 the village was burned down by soldiers and the fortress fell into ruins. In 1508 it was registered only as a praedium (landed property). In 1541 Čestlice was incorporated into Průhonicí until 1927. In the same year, the land belonging to the court was parceled out as part of of the land reform and the remaining part of the area of 61 hectares was sold to Joseph Livor from Vykáň near Český Brod. In thirties the village had 71 house numbers. Today Čestlice has over 500 inhabitants. The main historical sight is the church of Saint Prokop (from 1863, the original place of a wooden church of 14th century), an old cemetery and sandstone statue of St. Wenceslas (1785).
